The summary of Nightfalls story is the following:

When a corrupt ruler summons the power of an outcast god and infects the land with a creeping darkness, it will take a band of heroes to save Elona.

So a few points of interest given what we know from previous chapters and lore.

*The Emperor was seen in the Nightfall Cinematic, so we know he plays a part.

*Canthans have strong ties with the dead.

*Shiro was convinced that the emperor was going to kill him, yes a different Emperor, but traditions tend to carry on in royal lines. The woman who convinced him was of unknown origins.

*We've been forced to help the enemy under false pretense before (I.E. White Mantle)

*Trade between Cantha and Tyria were severed long ago. Unknown reasons.

*There is a current political structure in Elona, suggesting that there is some sort of balance. Balance is hard to achieve when you have a ruler who's crazy.

*The Scepter of Orr disappears.

*Shiro tries to use the Emperor to be resurrected.

*The White Mantle revear the Mursaat as gods.

*Much speculation has been brought about the outcast God. Since Dhuum is dead the only other god within the lore is Menzies, Lord of Destruction.

*The Charr were suddenly and unexpectantly granted a great power of destruction. Even after fighting and destroying Ascalon they still had the power to conquer Orr without much trouble.

*The Zaishen worship Balthazar, whom is at constent war with Menzies inside of the Fissure of Woe. The Zaishen go wherever the darkness appears, as shown when the Tomb of Primevil Kings was corrputed.

Taking all of that into consideration, what are your thoughts on the plot line?
